1 Timothy 1:17
Without God’s revelation of his eternity, immortality, and invisibleness, we would be without hope. Honor and glory forever and ever includes this very hour. 1 Timothy 1:17 – Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Lessons from Timothy #1: Placed into Service
Being placed into service means that we have been given purpose. 1 Timothy 1:12 – “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service…”
Psalm 23: God’s Deeds of Devotion
God loves you now and forever! – Psalm 23: 5-6 – You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 23: The Rod, the Staff, and Comfort
Psalm 23:4 – “Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
Fear No Evil in the Valleys
Psalm 23:4 – Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me.
Paths of Righteousness
Psalm 23:3 – He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Restoration of the Soul
When we walk with God — and even when we don’t — He will act for both our best interest and for his own glory. Psalm 23:2-3 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
