Priyanka Bagh

I was born in India and raised by Christian parents who taught at a seminary, where I grew up. Like many children I enjoyed sports, music, and other cultural events. At age 21, after reading the Billy Graham book Peace with God, I understood the gospel, accepted Christ as my Savior, and was baptized. Soon after I earned my BA in psychology a master’s degree in counseling. I also completed my bachelor’s of education degree.

I knew that I wanted to bring a Biblical perspective to my counseling work. I received a scholarship to study in the United States and completed a Master of Divinity program and a residency in clinical pastoral education, then returned to India to teach. In 2020 I travelled back to the United States to learn more about New Life Community Church’s Renew ministry. In 2022 I joined the staff at New Life to provide Renew counseling to women. I love helping hurting people know that they are loved by Christ and can be fully reconciled to Him and to others.

I thrive on people, coffee, food, nature, singing, art, travel and serving others (but miss playing badminton!) One of my favorite Bible passages is Jesus’ words in John 14:27, “Peace, I leave you, My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
